Founded in 1963 by New Zealander Bruce McLaren, the team began as Bruce McLaren Motor Racing and entered Formula 1 by 1966. McLaren Cars was established in 1985 and launched the legendary F1 supercar in 1992. In 2010, McLaren Automotive spun off and debuted the MP4‑12C, followed by the P1, 650S, 720S, and hybrid Artura. Its Woking HQ remains the heart of innovation.
