Nissan
Founded in 1911 as Kwaishinsha Motor Car Works, later DAT Motorcar, the company produced its first car, the DAT, in 1914 . In 1933, Jidosha-Seizo Co. was formed and renamed Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. in 1934, a contraction of Nihon Sangyo (“Japan Industries”) . It launched the Datsun brand, pioneered mass exports in the 1950s–60s (including the Skyline, Fairlady Z), and in 1999 joined the Renault–Nissan–Mitsubishi Alliance .
